The program is divided into three levels—Starters, Movers, and Flyers—and each child receives a certificate from the University of Cambridge upon completion.Children are awarded up to five shields in each of the four skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—based on their performance. This clear and encouraging feedback highlights progress rather than pressure, helping children understand what they can do and where they are improving.

A key advantage of the YLE exams is that no child can fail. Each learner is assessed according to their individual English level, which helps reduce exam anxiety from an early age and keeps motivation high for continued language development.
